• Worked with the founders to develop the nSPEC Automated Wafer Inspection system from initial concept to shipping product using C++, MFC and SQL.• Implemented image analysis in Matlab scripts integrated with the C++ applications.• Utilized SQL database to manage analysis results containing up to millions of specific defects.• Built a feature rich and user friendly application suite using MFC.• Integrated microscope and autoloader hardware using CAN bus and USB serial communications.• Integrated a SECS/GEM interface library to allow remote control operation of the microscope.• Worked with sales and technical services teams to define product requirements and set delivery schedules.• Defined daily integration test procedures to insure quality while utilizing a continuous delivery approach to quickly satisfy customer needs and minimize time to release new features.• Defined a peer code review strategy to prevent the introduction of product defects into the codebase.• Built a solid C/C++ codebase for the nSPEC system utilizing exception based coding style that emphasized error handling and recovery to prevent loss of data in the event of camera or network errors.• Managed a team of 4 developers and 2 testers in OH and worked closely with the NY based team to build feature rich analysis and reporting tools.• Utilized Bugzilla to manage product defects and improve responsiveness to customer issues.• Brought the nSPEC system through the prototype stage and built the codebase to over 750K lines of C++, Matlab and SQL code.• Introduced GitHub to improve configuration management.• Managed the IT needs of this rapidly growing company utilizing a mixture of temporary employees and outsourcing until Aug 2015 when a full time in-house IT manager was hired.

• Designed and implemented communication services in a C++ class hierarchy that interfaced the ProduceIT software with various process controller families.• Designed and implemented an OPC caching subsystem utilizing ATL based COM objects to allow third party applications access to the data maintained by the ProduceIT product. • Wrote and maintained product makefiles and automated nightly build process.• Designed and implemented a C# client to a Microsoft SQL Server database which was central to the defect tracking and reporting for the ongoing CMMI process improvement effort.• Implemented communications for monitoring and tuning live process data from the from the graphical CAD views of the Composer project using ATL based COM objects.• Designed and prototyped a web service on Microsoft IIS using XML, client side JScript, and an ATL based ActiveX control for displaying CAD drawings with live process data.• Designed and implemented a custom scripting language for automated system wide configuration upload, download and verification.• Designed and implemented a COM object model to expose the proprietary Infi90 communications using VC++ and ATL. • Designed and implemented Composer Configuration Viewer.
