Jeff is the founder and managing partner of Behm & Company, an Accountancy Corporation, in Newport Beach, California. The firm provided a wide variety of services to many industries, with a large concentration of clients in the escrow, title, mortgage and realty. Services provided include annual audits of financial statements and trust accounts, studies of internal accounting controls, Best Practices consultation, embezzlement audits, expert witness testimony and litigation support, consultation for escrow and title new licensees, consultation on compliance requirements of government oversight bodies, proper policies and procedures, profitability enhancement and business expansion and combinations. Jeff has been sought out on numerous occasions by leaders in the industries for assistance on various real estate related matters, and he has served in litigation support and expert witness capacities for attorneys on a variety of matters. In September, 2021 Behm & Company merged with Arizona based Baldwin Moffitt PLLC. The new firm is Baldwin Moffitt Behm LLP. Jeff Behm is one of the founding Directors of Nano Financial Holdings, Inc. and Nano Banc. Jeff served as the Chairman of the Audit and Compliance Committee from inception in 2017 through 2021. Jeff also served on the ALCO Committee. Direct reports to Jeff included the Internal Audit Director and the Chief Risk Officer. Indirect reports to Jeff included the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, BSA/AML Officer, and the Compliance Officer. In connection with Jeff’s Board seats, his experience includes in depth interaction with the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, and several national public accounting firms. Jeff is considered by many to be the top advisor for compliance with California Escrow Law. Jeff has given speeches across California with compliance with escrow law as the topic. He has also sat with senior California regulators on panels at annual Escrow Institute of California conferences. After retiring for eight months, Jeff joined Garland & Greenwood, CPAs and Advisors, PLLC. Jeff is currently the Director of Quality Management. His duties at this statewide Arkansas CPA firm include engagement quality reviews of the firm’s audit, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures. Additionally, Jeff oversees the firm’s largest engagement, in which procedures are performed on behalf of the State of Arkansas in each of the 75 counties in the state.
