I am an emergency medical services student at the University of Utah, certified as an NR-AEMT, with a passion for providing advanced medical support in remote and challenging environments. My focus is on delivering critical care to wildland firefighters, ensuring their safety and well-being in some of the most demanding conditions. My academic background in EMS has given me the skills and knowledge to respond quickly and effectively in high-stress situations.Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, my love for the outdoors naturally evolved into a career dedicated to emergency care in wilderness settings. From running ultramarathons to competing internationally in skyrunning, I’ve embraced endurance, discipline, and resilience—qualities that translate directly into my professional work. Whether it's navigating complex medical scenarios or making split-second decisions, I’m always striving to improve my abilities and adapt to new challenges.My career has involved a mix of technical skill and leadership. I’ve worked on a backcountry trail crew in Colorado, led glacier tours in Alaska, and gained valuable experience in a simulated NICU, which sharpened my clinical decision-making. As a wildland fire AEMT, I’ve further refined my ability to provide advanced medical care in critical, high-stakes situations. Outside of work, I challenge myself through ultramarathon training (recently completed a 100 mile running race) and backcountry skiing, enhancing both the physical and mental endurance needed for my profession.
