In further support of the work of the CMA President, serving as a primary resource on matters pertaining to medical and clinical policy.Leading the work of the CMA Enterprise in the areas of physician learning, physician leadership, practice management, clinical products and services and physician well-being and medical professionalism; seamlessly integrating this work throughout the Enterprise to serve the CMA’s mandate and its strategy Impact 2040.

Served as a key resource and spokesperson on topics such as assisted dying and end-of-life care, legalization of cannabis and the opioid crisis. Played a key role in the development of federal legislation on assisted dying in Canada.

Oversaw a successful major review of the CMA Code of Ethics.
