Senior Manager Infrastructure

Dallas, Texas, United States

Most of my infrastructure management experience occurred at JP Morgan Chase and Company. In this position, I ran the Global Middleware Tier 2 operations team. This team ran on a support model for global clients with centers of excellence in the Asia Pacific region from Singapore, Europe-Middle East-Africa from Glasgow, and the Western Hemisphere from New Jersey and Texas. These teams are responsible for taking all level one and two support calls for web servers, applications servers, and middleware products for clients around the globe. Our focus centered on improving customer satisfaction, reducing service restoration time in outages, and empowering our clientele with automated processes to enable self-service of items. We also serve as a center for excellence and expertise for said clientele when issues arise that self-service cannot handle. Previously, I managed a globally located engineering team centered on messaging and communication products. This team was responsible for Tier 4 support functionality, leading the strategic products offered to the firm and taking architectural designs through transformation into functional engineered solutions. The focus was centered on service-based solutions including, but not limited to, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions. We were responsible for the technology management within the messaging and communications focus area while managing the offering from proof-of-concept work, strategic engineering builds, evergreen management of the offerings, end-of-life maintenance, and decommissioning of products. Products included IBM MQ and WMB, Microsoft SharePoint Servers, Kofax Software, and managed external vendors providing send/receive services to JPMC as a faxing service for the firm, which allowed the removal of all dedicated faxing infrastructure across the firm.
