Responsible for the administrative and operational aspects of the SWAT team, including the accountability of 6 full-time SWAT operators. Leads and coordinates the SWAT team's response to highly complex and dangerous critical incidents. The focus is on ensuring a swift and effective response to emergencies that require specialized tactical skills. Plans and executes various tactical operations, including high-risk warrant service, handling barricaded persons, responding to hostage situations, providing dignitary and asset protection, securing major events, and conducting former presidential escorts. Serves as the units Urban Area Security Initiative program manager.
