My work included identifying and leveraging 3M’s core competencies, helping to turn them into products and solutions, and driving appropriate go-to-market strategies and channel initiatives.

VP/GM of a new business unit chartered to take a $70M LG business from commodity sales oflarge format Flat Panel Displays into the Total Solution Digital Signage business.Architected the group into Functional Teams covering Sales, Marketing, Strategy, ProductManagement, Business Development, Operations, IT and Technical Support, and managed a teamof 50, with direct reports across each of these key functions.

Key contributor to the successful integration of an acquired start-up digital signage software company into a Fortune 100 corporation. Helped to create and execute a global go-to-market strategy for 3M’s digital signage software into the existing Commercial Graphics reseller channel, leading to increased market adoption and revenue growth. Served as the Digital Signage business unit representative on the Global Strategic Planning Committee.

Key member of an early stage start-up that pioneered the rear projection flat panel display industry, later know as “digital signage”. Helped drive company direction and growth from a fledgling start-up into a market leader that first earned a spot on the Inc 500 in 2001, and was later acquired by Planar Systems, Inc. in 2006. Designed, built and launched the first digital courtside press table for basketball arenas which was subsequently adopted by a number of NBA teams and dozens of major colleges.

Early member of an Inc 500 company which produced touch screen kiosk systems for a variety of retail and corporate environments. Worked my way up to become the President of the organization over time, and eventually planned and executed the sale of the company.

Assistant Golf Professional at a prestigious club which typically ranks in Golf Digest’s “Top 25” and has hosted numerous US Opens, PGA Championships and the 1995 Ryder Cup. Developed a player improvement ‘product’ called Game Analysis which utilized early PC hardware and software and a specialized scorecard to spot trends and areas for improvement in a players game.
