Direct and manage the operation of PBS Western Reserve, Ohio’s largest PBS TV Station (4.9 million viewers)On behalf of the Corporation, prepare proposals for contracts and sign contracts between the Corporation and any person, firm or entity.Coordinate the administrative activities of the Board of Directors and its Committees including agendas for meetings, minutes, reports, handbooks and other administrative-type functions.Work with the Board of Directors to assure that PBS Western Reserve has a long-range strategy.Work with the Board in creating and maintaining its policy and oversight functions.Keep the Board fully informed on the condition of PBS Western Reserve and all-important factors influencing it..Work with the Board committees to ensure purpose and effective function.Prepare final budget recommendations to the Board of the Directors and provide timely financial reports.Provide operational direction and planning to PBS Western Reserve Staff.Administer policies set forth by the Board of Directors.Direct PBS Western Reserve financial operations and assure fiscal prudence.Ensure the development and implementation of personnel training plans and programs.Maintain a climate to attract, keep, and motivate top quality people.Serve as the chief spokesperson for the stations and see that the station is properly presented to its various constituents.Serve on community boards, committees and/or be involved in community events.Directly responsible for 16 full-time and 4 part-time employees

Direct and manage the following initiatives from PBS Western Reserve, Ohio’s largest PBS TV station (5.1 million viewers) and one of eight, State of Ohio Educational Technology agencies:Educational Technology Services - a regional and statewide initiative providing educational resources and professional development to educators supporting the integration of educational technology for student success, PreK-16.Ohio Ready to Work - a statewide initiative offering resources and professional development to area workforce development centers assisting clients in career development.Ohio Ready to Learn - a statewide initiative offering resources and professional development to Ohio’s family child care providers in support of the obtaining of Step Up to Quality requirements.Ohio Learns 360 - Statewide collaborative initiative amongst Ohio’s PBS stations with a focus on developing, delivering and marketing resources for families and children in grades K-5.Directly responsible for 1 full-time and 1 part-time employeeAccomplishments include:Managed third largest revenue generating department at $760,000- FY23.Averaged a 49% revenue to expense ratio since 2006.More than tripled early learning initiative revenue over the last five years (From $36,000 to $116,000).Provided support to local school districts in the creation, application and implementation of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds which brought in more than $800,000 in additional revenue (2010-2012) accounting for additional services to school districts.Worked with a group of Ohio Edtech Agencies developing rules and regulations, articles of incorporation and final filing with the State of Ohio for the Instructional Technology Integration Partnership of Ohio, a 501c3 non-profit entity, a statewide entity serving the educational technology needs of Ohio’s teachers.
