I started out working in the trades as early as 13 years old. I worked for quite a few contractors early on. After high school I began subcontracting as a siding and gutter installer. After two years I enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I studied construction engineering for three years. I returned to the field and pursued a couple of business ventures but mostly contracted finish carpentry and remodeling. I worked my up to having two and sometimes three crews and was signing contracts that sometimes exceeded the hundred thousand dollar mark. I transitioned from that part of the contracting industry to insurance repairs and then built up the mitigation side of the business. At this time we operate as a full service restoration company handling emergency response, mitigation services, personal property processing, and structural repairs.Goals; my primary goal is to build and develop a vibrant self-sustaining company that serves the needs of the public as well as the needs of my employees and myself.Specialties: Being trained as a finish carpenter, I will always be a craftsman at heart. But at this point in my career my most important ability is being able to restore peoples' property. From the initial call, to closing a contract, to dealing with the insurance company. And then all the way through the processes of repair.In 2012 I received my Certified Restorer accreditation with the Restoration Industry Association. This is the most advanced certification in the industry. I am now CR #604In 2011 I embarked on my second career and joined the LA Vista Fire Department. I am a state licensed EMT, a state certified Firefighter, and have been trained to drive and operate fire apparatus. I am now studying to attain an Insurance Consultants License. However I must first become a licensed Insurance agent as a prerequisite in Nebraska.
