Led outside sales team and organized Company market strategies. Within one year we grew Weiler to record sales - achieved by refocusing the sales representatives to more value-added and growth-generating behaviors. Expanded the sales team from seven to nine - managing service level expectations of 12,000 customers (from Tier-1 auto, to home hobbyist).

Dayton, Ohio Area

Lead, direct and motivate all 24 associates in the district to achieve the highest safety standards, EBITDA performance, and operational excellence. Execute plans and strategies designed to exceed customer needs – 3,250 customers who make up $17M of annual revenue.

Airgas Great Lakes

Subsequent to the acquisition of BOC Gases, assumed responsibility for specialty gas sales in Ohio, Michigan, and western Pennsylvania – grew account base to $27 million in sales across 3,940 customers. Directed a team of eight sales specialists who collaborated with a network of 95 account managers and 76 branch and plant locations.Led Airgas Great Lakes.

Ohio/Michigan

Responsible for nine account managers covering Ohio and Michigan representing 610 customers (1870 ship-to locations) who conducted $24M per year in revenue. Responsibilities included developing local business plans, budgeting, establishing pricing discipline, evaluating account retention, training, and recruitment.

Dayton, OH

$2M P&L responsibility for 18 personnel who produced and distributed compressed gases to five major markets in Ohio. The monthly throughput was 21,000 cylinders across seven distribution routes. Led a great team that reduced ‘cost-per-cylinder filled’ by 34% within three months of assuming the job, reduced average overtime 60%, improved on-time delivery.

OH/KY

Grew and maintained a 150+ customer, $3M account base in Ohio and Kentucky for the sale of compressed and bulk medical gases, specialty gases, and related equipment. Achieved gross profit growth of 60%, 16%, 20%, and 18% in each respective year of sales in an industry that normally demonstrated gross profit growth of 4-5% annually.
