Responsible for complete department oversight, O&M, troubleshooting and upgrades to industrial wastewater treatment and UPW systems. Ensure all systems are well maintained and operate at maximum performance. Supervisor and team builder of 8 WW Technicians. Strict adherence to safety procedures, environmental, regulatory and company ISO compliance procedures. Assist corporate wastewater engineers in development and testing of new technology designs. Develop budgets and implement tracking systems to monitor and control plant operating costs. Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement projects. Ultrapure Water Treatment (UPW):• Utilize softeners and granular activated charcoal (GAC) pre-treatment, Reverse Osmosis (RO), ultra-violet (UV) & total organic carbon (TOC) treatment, mixed bed deionization and microfiltration to produce deionized (DI) water for manufacturing production use. Wastewater Treatment Systems: • Industrial batch treatment systems using hydroxide precipitation method; pH adjustment, coagulation, polymerized flocculation, gravity clarification, multi-media filtration and ion-exchange system. Performance testing procedures and calibration of equipment. • Safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals including usage, storage and inventories; maintain accurate records, develop and maintain trending spreadsheets; write, follow and update procedural work instructions. Misc. Competencies:• Proven management experience to work independently with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to ensure systems are operated within regulatory compliance limits and no interruption to production; excellent communication skills.• In-house laboratory experience (wet chemicals and heavy metals) to perform analysis and testing using instruments such as atomic absorption (AA), spectrophotometers, pH meters, etc.

Department Management: • Provide schedule and budgetary updates to senior personnel; direct and schedule technical personnel; review and approve timesheets and expense reports. • Maintain inventory of field equipment, project materials and laboratory supplies; attend project walk-throughs and pre-construction meetings.Technical Management: • Conduct quality assurance (QA) and documentation of all project data and procedures including laboratory analytical results, field data/forms, CAD drawings, and technical report reviews.• Produce data tables, written analysis, client recommendations and project completion reports. Project Management: • Manage multiple projects simultaneously; develop cost estimating spreadsheets; develop and review project proposals; establish and monitor project schedules; monitor budgets and project costs.• Conduct regulatory research and sampling methodologies, assist with developing, reviewing and adhering to project specifications; ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA, ODOH); continuous client communications; review client invoices.
