I began earning college credits to become a teacher as early as high school. I have a total of 6 years in education, and I am currently in my 5th year of teaching. After completion of the 2022-2023 school year, this will make 7 years in education in total and I know I will have way many more years ahead. Well, I got my start as a paraprofessional in I.S.S (In school suspension) while being a full-time student working on my bachelor’s degree. This took place from August 2016 to May 2018. Upon completion, I was hired as a 4th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher. My first year of teaching was exceptional and I received district wide recognition. With a great year in full swing, l worked on my master’s degree that I completed the following fall; as my second year of teaching began. I sought after more growth, and I became a participant in The Arkansas Leadership Academy: Teacher Leadership Institute and completed the program. I have been recipient of awards and accomplishments as a student in college and now as an educator. My creative style of teaching has shown how unique and refreshing my learning environment is all while producing student growth and student achievement. I have always been referred to as a beacon of light in every district, school, classroom, and educational environment because of my high energy. Most of all it has allowed me to build a connection and relationship with students that is unrivaled. Now, I am continuing this noble work in the most sought after school district in Arkansas , Bentonville Public Schools.
