HVO was experiencing a sustained and substantial increase in demand. Through the association of The Marketing Association of Rehabilitations Centers (MARC) and a consortium named MARC Custom Medical Proucts (MCMP) a 3 year project was developed to increase capacity to meet this increase in forecasted demand. I successfully managed a 3 year project that raised $3M in grant money and had an additional $1M in member investment. This money was used to set up medical device manufacturing capabilities at 4 MARC facilities in Western North Carolina. Capital equipment, facility renovations and early stage operational and administrative costs such as FDA approved Quality Assurance system impelemention were all inititiated with the funds acquired and administered through this project. Through Sales, Marketing & Product Development led by HVO the project added 250 new jobs across the WNC region and the 5 participating facilities including HVO. I currently continue to manage the outsourcing of direct labor for products at these facilities and manage Product Development as well as new Business Development. For 19 years I managed the entire supply chain at Rockwell Automation (presently Baldor Electric) in Weaverville, NC. This included direct responsibility for the management of the entire supply base and all direct material costs for product produced at this facility. This position also had direct responsibility for Production and Inventory Control, Inside Sales, Shipping / Receiving and Distribution.
