• Worked as the Quality Shift representative for the site including Operations, Maintenance, and Operations Support.• Performed surveillance, field testing, and inspections on contractors, operations, and maintenance personnel to ensure and verify that all project associated components, equipment, and structures are operated, modified, and / or installed in accordance with applicable specifications, drawings, procedures, codes, and standards.• Responsible for the oversight of subcontractor activities for the project, including training, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies and perform receipt inspection of facility equipment and components.• Wrote quality inspection procedures and review new specifications and procedures, as necessary, to assure high quality of product and service.• Inspect, test, and measure dimensions of welds to verify conformance to specifications and codes, using NDE methods (VT, MT, PT, and UT). Also oversee all mechanical testing, to include hydro/nitrogen gas testing.• Actively involved with conducting Quality Control oversight of Maint. Dept. that perform Monthly/Annual Cathodic Protection checks on the Plant Brine Storage Tanks, and on the Natural Gas Supply Line to the Plant to ensure company established Preventive Maintenance of Equipment (PME's) procedures are followed and expected Rectifier Measurements and Readings are Acceptable for adequate Cathodic Protection.• Assisted Engineering as needed with Corrosion Control of Process Piping Integrity for Piping throughout the Plant to foresee corrosion problems.• Perform quality review of design documents for accuracy, discrepancy, and technical details in preparation of system decontamination, decommissioning, and demolition plant facility closure activities.• Applied AWS D1.1, D1.3, ASNT, and ASME IX program requirements and standards code to day-to-day inspection activities.
