Led multiple production departments in the manufacture of complex assembled products supporting civil/military fixed and rotor wing aerospace components. Responsible for capacity planning, staffing, training and skills matrix development of 80+ production team members. Led multiple Value Stream Map projects resulting in significant reductions in lead-time through the identification of bottlenecks, tact time, waste reduction and single-pc-flow manufacturing. Results included, 1) Release-to-stock reduction from 25 to 5 days, 2) 100% On time-to-warehouse metric improvement for Tension/Torsions Strap operations, 3) Improvement from 54 to 85% release-to-stock metric for Blue Coat operations.

Lead engineer for Rubber-to-Substrate bonding, Tension/Torsion Strap and assembly operations. Led $1.5MM, multi-year facility expansion for new product line transfer to the Dayton facility. Work scope included: Capital planning, executive approval, permitting, capital equipment purchases / transfers and training of production associates in the manufacture of new product and processes. Additional responsibilities included the creation of all work instructions and Process Control Plans (PCP) in preparation of successful AS9100 certification for the Dayton facility.

Yellow Springs, Ohio

Manufacturing engineer responsible for process improvements, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and cost reductions for Vernay's Rubber-to-Metal bonding department for automotive and general industry applications. Led New Product Introduction (NPI) for departmental products to achieve process capability and cost targets.

Manufacturing design engineer responsible for the design and build of production dies, fixtures and capital equipment supporting automotive elastomeric co-extruded door and single extruded trunk and hood seals. Accomplishments included , 1) Designed and built automated conveyor utilizing in-line infrared technology to improve line speed by 10%, 2) Designed and built automated "end-trim" cut-off machine reducing waste by 50%.
