Within Progressive, I am currently a national board member for the Disabilities Awareness Network (DAWN) ERG operating as Events Lead (Senior Board). Since beginning my career I’ve been a member, Ambassador, Lead Ambassador and Board Member. I have a passion to be an ally and advocate for those affected directly or indirectly by seen or unseen disabilities as well as to be an ally to our other ERG communities and their members/missions as well. I was privileged to be All-ERG Coordinator for the state of Arizona in 2021, and abdicated from the role once elected to the National Board for DAWN ERG at the end of 2021. I graduated from ASU in December 2013, began with Progressive Insurance in April 2014, and have been with Progressive ever since. In spite of challenging circumstances, markets, and the new modern professional “post-2020 era”, I am one of the lucky few that have managed to say they’ve had a professional unicorn where one’s business field, company of employment, and personal development and advancement have stayed steady and provided a constant foundation to work within. I would say I’m even more fortunate as I’ve also been able to work for, and with, some of the most talented and diverse group of professionals and leaders in the insurance industry and entire country. I am in a continual state of learning and growth as I gain insight and perspective each and every day from my fellow Progressive leaders and employees across the nation. I look to lead others and manage teams through humility, inclusion, compassion, and integrity. I am a “visionary leader” if labeling using the “Goleman 6 model”. One motto I try to live and teach others by: Don’t take yourself (myself) too seriously. Do everything with passion, integrity, and a competitive drive and personal will that allows for nothing outside of excellence!!
