Oversee the global food safety strategy and ensure compliance with IFCO’s Food Safety/Quality Assurance Processes across all regions. Represents IFCO globally with regulatory agencies, industry organizations and working groups to develop Food Safety solutions that improve the entire fresh food supply chain.Responsibilities:• Maintain and provide oversight of IFCO’S global environmental monitoring program• Develop and maintain a global food safety risk assessment matrix • Manages regulatory food safety & compliance interaction on behalf of IFCO Systems • Provides technical guidance and support globally related to IFCO’s food safety & quality assurance programs• Identify emerging risks in the food supply chain and develop research and validation methodologies to address new or emerging risks• Provide global support and oversight of both internal and external auditing programs to ensure Food Safety Program compliance • Provide technical support to global leadership and sales teams related to food safety, sanitation, and quality• Company's technical expert for cleaning science, pathogen mitigation, process validation and verification• Represent IFCO on industry food safety/technical committees, panels, and associations globally

North America

Oversees all food safety and quality initiatives at IFCO’s North American Reusable Plastic Container (RPC) service centers, as well as food safety programs that extend along the entire fresh food supply chain. Responsible for IFCO North America food safety strategy and compliance with quality assurance and food safety standards. Is company’s food safety subject matter expert representing IFCO in industry organizations, associations, committees and working groups.Directs and Oversees:• IFCO North America food safety and quality strategy • Company’s food safety subject matter expert representing IFCO in industry organizations• Organic certification for manufacturing and sanitization process• Oversight of pest control program for 8 RPC processing facilities• 3rd party and internal auditing programs in North America • FSMA supplier verification program for both our suppliers and our customers • Sanitation program and chemical supplier program • AQL standards for process control and to set customer expectations for quality • Development and execution of effective environmental monitoring • Food safety & compliance interaction on behalf of IFCO Systems with regulatory agencies, customers, & field sales personnel

• Direct and manage regional food safety and defense programs• Manage audit program for over 400 commercial food establishments• Manage the food procurement and surveillance programs• Establish Joint Operations with DoD, Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies concerning food safety and defense matters• Direct quality assurance program for all commodities sourced through Prime Vendor Program • Provide expertise in food processing techniques for all commodities internationally • Responsible for food law/regulation interpretation, and application • Liaison with military and government officials in food related matters• Establish auditor mentoring programs to address auditor competency globally • Perform FSIS equivalency inspections for meat processors and PMO equivalency audits for dairy plants for overseas locations• Serve on the Veterinary Food Safety Officer Council• Manage sanitary inspection and laboratory testing program for commercial facilities providing food to the military and military base food establishments• Manage food recalls for the department of defense food supply chain
