Investigate criminal complaints pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products without a license, unlawful manufacture, distribution and sale of these products, gambling, prostitution, sale and distribution of illegal narcotics, EBT fraud, undisclosed business interests, sale of counterfeit products, and financial / tax fraud. Conduct routine undercover operations targeting licensed establishments and retailers who sell alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors in violation of Florida law. Conduct routine operations targeting youth who are in possession of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in violation of Florida law. Conduct routine inspections of licensed establishments to ensure compliance of Florida law and to ensure consumer safety in both a law enforcement and regulatory capacity. Ensure that licensed establishments have obtained their alcoholic beverages and tobacco products from approved distributors and ensure that the excise taxes and duties have been paid to the state of Florida for these products. Work with the local community in educating youth of the dangers of using alcoholic beverages and tobacco products underage. Conduct follow up investigations, interview victims, witnesses and suspects, complete clear, concise, and detailed investigative and supplemental reports, create legal documents such as investigative subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and asset forfeiture documents. Provide sworn testimony at depositions, testify and take part in the criminal court process during jury trial, and maintain peace and order within the State of Florida.

Conduct internal affairs investigations relating to employee misconduct or theft and complete pre-employment background investigations for new employees.
