Accountable for costing and pricing products. Responsible for purchasing and inventory management of over 8 million dollars of inventory in eight Western Canadian locations and one Manufacturing Plant. Supervise staff of two buyers, a purchasing assistant and a freight co-ordinator. Implemented an organisational chart with duties and structure for all employees in the department. Undertook a complete cleanup of the computer system, which had not been done since the implementation of the system in 2005. Upgraded import plumbing program and added marble tops, granite tops, showers, tubs, upgraded all toilets. The result was an overall increase of over 300% in sales in under 3 years. Complete overhaul on screw program and was able to decrease costs by an average of over 10% while increasing quality. Added a new jar program and was able to help increase sales by over 25% on the line. Changed vendors on our builders hardware lines from trading companies to manufacturers and have saved an average of 10 to 15%.
