Established New Brunswick's first private sector incubator/accelerator from funding through to growth of startups across the province with a committed Board of experienced and visionary leaders.Branded the organization and built a sizeable community of senior and experienced mentors, supporters, and fans of startup businesses who committed significant time and services to helping start and grow early stage companies and mentoring the people behind them.Showed unwavering support for bright ideas and efforts to grow the ICT industry in the province and actively and vocally opposed the parochial attitudes and actions that threaten collaboration and growth of the NB economy.Counselled and assisted countless startups from idea to revenue and the funding, prototype, marketing, and structural changes in between.Relied heavily on friendships and the passions of other people to set and achieve goals for the industry and for the new companies that were created.

Established an online stock photography agency for a majority partner in the photography business. A mis-reading of the shifts that were to occur in digital media, the resources available to realize the plan, and the interests and motivations of partners led to its closure. A learning experience!

Created web-based strategies for a variety of SME needs and directed a team of ColdFusion developers and graphic designers through the creative process for each client project. A true learning experience of the significant shifts occurring between 20th to 21st century business culture and both the frustrations and incredible opportunities it introduced depending on the posture of the leaders of the time.

An offshoot of the CitaHealth Management Group, onlinefit.com was intended to be a SaaS-model personal health service for travelling executives. Incomplete upon the sale of the company, it was taken in another direction by the owners who remained.

Renamed CitaHealth post-sale, Citadel was born with $100 in a time of necessity and pressure and grew to be the premier executive health/medical facility in the Vancouver area at the time of sale.Citadel started as a small personal fitness training service and took a leap in 1996 with the win of the Canadian Forces contract to conduct all fitness testing for new applicants for the BC/Yukon region. Built on the high standards of University Kinesiology graduates and the advanced certifications of the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP), Citadel succeeded in presenting a credible health-based fitness company that stood in contrast to a Vancouver industry more aligned with cosmetics than health promotion.Partners were introduced in 1998 and Citadel expanded into executive/corporate medicine in a beautiful downtown Vancouver facility that quickly won the client base of the competition with honest and transparent sales and consulting to the city's head office companies and a reputation for real concern for the health of clients.

A ton of fun! On the phones calling former students of the university to seek their financial support for University expansion plans. Received excellent telemarketing training that has been useful throughout my career and learned to roll with rejection. The first of many great learning experiences!
