I teach Calculus AB, Advanced Geometry, and Advanced Algebra II courses at Rick Reedy High School. I instruct 150-180 Honors/AP students per year, managing classes or virtual classrooms of 28-35 students per class and monitoring academic progress as well as social/emotional needs. I oversaw the department as Team Lead in Calculus AB for 3+ years.• Create, implement, and modify daily lessons and course curriculum.• Build relationships with parents, learners, colleagues, and administration through prompt, open, and professional communications.• Assess growth by measuring and analyzing student performance data and modifiy instruction to address remediation.• Lead department by disseminating info to team members on new technology, programs, and educational initiatives and providing training and coaching as needed.• Increased notoriety and size of AP Calculus program by 25-30% over 3 years by delivering quality instruction and adjusting strategy as needed to meet the needs of learners.• Achieved high percentage of AP Calculus AB test pass rate compared to state and national rates. 80% of students earned passing scores on the 2022 AP Exam despite pandemic learning gaps, compared to 41% earning passing scores in Texas and 50% nationwide.• Serve as Assistant Coach for Academic Decathlon team (4 years). I was hired various summers to collaborate with team creating, updating, and strengthening all Geometry, Algebra, & Calculus curriculum for Frisco ISD, a district of 65K+ students.

Instructed Liberty High School students in AP Calculus AB, Adv. Algebra II, and Geometry. Served 2 years as campus UIL Academic Coordinator.• Oversaw budget, planning, and transportation for 60-75 students and 8-12 staff for UIL academics in all subjects at district, regional, and state levels, as well as invitational competitions. • Coached UIL Mathematics team of 20-25 students (4 years). Led students to multiple individual and team state championships in UIL Mathematics, including a Top 5 state finish.

Led tutoring sessions for small groups and individuals in a variety of subjects including K-12 Mathematics, Physics, K-10 English, and STAR/ISEE Prep. Created and modified existing curriculum as needed to meet learners’ needs.• Assisted learners in achieving significant gains in PSAT/SAT scores, including one learner who achieved the highest PSAT Score at her 4A High School.
