In 2008, I became President of Allison & Taylor, a company that focuses on reference, background checks and educational verification for individual clients and corporations. Among other responsibilities, I oversee monitoring of the direction of industry and web trends and develop e-commerce strategies and marketing & communications plans in accordance with those trends. Prior to 2008, in a career with General Motors Service Parts that spanned almost 30 years, I honed my skills as an effective and powerful sales and marketing professional. Getting dealers on board with marketing initiatives, building out collateral marketing campaigns, and forging powerful sales teams were special fortes of mine. As best I am able, I enjoy a work-life balance, spending time with my family and working diligently to improve my golf game further, the latter an at-times elusive goal.My wife and I have travelled extensively around the world and have enjoyed over 60 cruises. We still travel, although much of that is now to specific cities in America, visiting our four children and three grandchildren. On our bucket list? A trip to our ancestors’ home-lands Scotland and Ireland, where we plan to marvel at sea-cliffs plummeting into the Atlantic, dip our toes into pristine glacial lakes, and soak in the majestic history and vibrant culture of the countries. And, perhaps, I’ll also get a chance to swing a golf club or two…
