Responsible for facilitating plant achievement of SQF (Safe Quality Food) level II and level III certification and use/training implementation of GMP for the production of food products. Helped to implement SPC for operations and quality metrics. ● Responsible for three production lines including the development of 4 salaried Group Managers, 4 Team Leaders, and over 100 hourly employees. ● Responsible for all facets of production of fig bars, vanilla wafers, cheese, animal, wheat, flavored, multi­ grain crackers, graham crumbs, and animal cookie production across three shifts in a 24/7 operation. ● Responsible for interaction with many corporate team members regarding costing, design, implementation, launch, and delivery of high quality products to our customer base. ● Responsible for the achievement of budgeted production, quality, and safety initiatives for a “focus factory” at the largest facility within the division. ● Cross funtional team lead on PPE and safety procedure revision with focus on reduction of lost time injuries. ● Interact with multiple business functions on a daily basis and have formed strong, action­minded relationships with many cross functional teams from corporate, vendors, and internal teams. ● Strive to develop my leadership skills and tact, while advancing my career.

Directed many of the quality activities within the Cadiz plant in a supporting role of the Quality Manager in all matters of customer satisfaction, quality metrics, containment cost management, forecasts, TS16949 compliance, ISO 9001 compliance, and budget construction. ● Participation on focus teams outlining new launch procedures by directing PFEMA, Control Plan, and PPAP construction via integration with program management, machine designers, and corporate engineering.

Assured press department shift is operated in the most profitable and efficient basis through proper utilization of assigned manpower, materials, equipment, and space. ● Coordinated all activities within scope of control and set priorities necessary to accomplish all of the above in a face paced Union environment. ● Improved press machine utilization ten percent within first month of joining the press supervision team by applying six sigma and lean manufacturing principles along with driving accountability for results.

Improvement in processes, while capturing and controlling cost. ● Responsible for completing $3.2 million dollars in savings via process variation and corporate driven projects. ● Help to change the way Johnson Controls does business by leveraging and benchmarking improvements to other facilities worldwide based on directing work of Cadiz teams.

Reduced overall PPM defects in Chrysler area by 52% thereby reduced containment cost from $25K per month to $1K per month within the Chrysler area in the first year. ● Learned a new industry from the ground up that was not related to my degree field and have become successful within the field. ● Driven TQM to new levels within the plant and across the business units with innovative design ideas and process improvements that were leveraged across the organization via quality focus teams.
