I am an award-winning administrator, manager, writer and photographer currently employed as Executive Director of CEPA Management Corp., a nonprofit organization in St. Clair County, Ala. In this position I have enjoyed many opportunities to improve lives by providing quality cultural experiences and sustaining outlets for creativity.As of March 2018, my education and cultural enrichment programs have been awarded more than $40,000 in grant funding and more than $50,000 in additional appropriations. I have also raised more than $20,000 through donations and sponsorships for the nonprofit through community outreach.I previously served as Editor and General Manager of The St. Clair News-Aegis in Pell City, Ala. There, I consistently operated at a profit margin above 20 percent while earning four first-place state press association awards in my first eligible year, including Best Local News Coverage.Previously, as Executive Editor of Starnes Publishing, I assisted with the launch of one greater Birmingham-area publication and organized the launch of another, bringing the company’s total to five. I oversaw content development for all newspapers and corresponding Web products. Since 2008, I have organized three redevelopment and branding campaigns and led teams through implementation. Two of the products I worked on previously received the Alabama Press Association’s “Most Improved” award the year following the relaunch.
