H & K purchased Carl Byoir & Associates in '86...to become for that time, the World's largest PR firm. Later it was discovered that another reason for the purchase was to acquire MediaCom, to whom many H&K clients had been turning for Media and Crisis training. While there I continued to also produced client film and video productions as well as training top excutives, celebrities and government leaders, including UN Ambassadors and even Royalty, in contemporary media and presentation skills.In 1993, a major client convinced me to help build and help run a major new PR firm in the nations' South East, James A. Fyock & AssociatesUntil Sept. 2002, I was Senior VP at Fyock and Department Director for MASTERCOM, designing and operating 2 concurently operating TV Media training and Presentation coaching studios for our clients.

First hired as a contract News Video producer, while still anchoring news and special reports at NBC NEWS, at 30 Rockefller Plaza. However I was quickly hired full-time in early 1980 to do both client video news releases and to assist in fully developing Byoir's MediaCom training division. I designed and built it's first professional training studio at the Byoir annex at 400 Madison Avenue, where hundreds of client executives learned contemporaty communications and media skills, until Byoir was purchased by H & K in 1986.

Having already spent most of my life in the news and performance media, including my own 6 hour per day TV business show in NYC....I arrived at my longtime goal of being an on-air achnor & commentator on NBC Network Radio News, and field reporter and voice-over correspondent on NBC Network TV news. That position led to many exciting reports, from covering bombings on Wall Street and in the city, to reporting in the darkness of the city's streets during a major blackout, as well as, breaking the news that Elvis Presely had died, then being sent to Graceland in Memphis to cover his funeral and the activities of the thousands who gathered there immediatley upon hearing my NBC bulletin that "the king was dead," Many fascinating events and stories there. After NBC, I moved on to Madison Avenue and became a key executive at the 2 largest Public Relations firms in the world.

Having spent about a year on Wall Street as a Licensed Stock Broker...during a TERRIBLE economic slump and sluggish market....I took what I learned there and returned to my primary carreer, Radio/TV broadcasting and journalism. At WINS, the flagship station for the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company, I played ALL the bases, from hour-long news reports, to interviewing key national figures, and did special reports about business and the stockmarket, along with developments in science and space exploration....ALL of my specialties! I was among a tremendously talented group of broadcasters who professionally filled the airwaves, 24/7 with accurate, informative news and information.

A pioneering program, "Stock Market Observer": was one of the first ever reporting detailed and "real- time" Stock Market and Business news on TV. We featured interviews with top Wall Street executives & analysts, as well as major business leaders, including Fortune 500 executives.I had first been asked by the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones New Service, if it would be possible to bring the same clarity to business and market news in a similar manner that I had made the technology and science of space exploration understandable and attractive to the general public. Today there are numerous cable and TV business programs that stand as the legacy of "SMO."

As NASA built it's new center, I designed, directed construction and ran KMSC-FM. We informed that space-based community...as well as the world, of America's successive steps toward the Moon, via Project Gemini and Apollo. Likewise, with unmanned missions in space. I also served as the US Information Agency's Voice of America correspondent for Science and Space news. interviewed and became well acquainted with top NASA officials, Mission Controllers, and most of the astronauts & their families, including Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, the crew of Apollo 11.This was a peak time in history, mine and the world's and it opened new doors for me.
