Design And New Media Lecturer
I am currently teaching one course titled Visual Communication that explores visual literacy and its accompanying lexicon while allowing students to explore these concepts through Digital Art, specifically within Photoshop and Illustrator. I am also teaching a Web Design course where students learn HTML and CSS coding essentials to give them a foundational basis as we move into Figma and then eventually explore the amazing array of AI advancements in code assistance, 'design to code' implementation, and interactivity. I am also slated to teach courses in Motion Graphics and Film in the Winterim and Spring terms.
Design And New Media Lecturer
For the Fall term, I am teaching a course titled Digital 2D (D2D), which introduces students to the Adobe Creative applications Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, and Express through conceptual-based projects. For the Spring term, I am slated to teach a course titled Digital 4D, which explores how images, text, and sound unfold over time across various distribution models.

Gallery Manager
I oversaw and contributed to the integral functions of the Gallery. This included, but wasn't limited to, keeping the inventory and website up to date, corresponding with customers to facilitate sales, utilizing our database to generate invoices, inventory reports, sales reports, and specific customer/artist contact lists. I also regularly assisted customers in finding works of art for their homes or businesses. I initiated a new social media strategy for the gallery that yielded a 200% increase in our website traffic, reorganized our computer data and files, and streamlined the workflow of the main database. I implemented two new email campaigns that maintain more regular contact with our existing customers by introducing them to new inventory and insightful interviews with our artists. On top of that, I was also in regular contact with many of the artists - facilitating upcoming exhibitions, commissioned works, and studio visits.
