I love a website with beautiful apostrophes and quotation marks. A proper, curly apostrophe is a small detail, but one that shows that care was taken in creating an experience. A balanced perspective of overall goals along with attention to detail and design craftsmanship are the building blocks of great work.Management was a scary term until I fell in love with helping designers focus on the important areas of their projects and grow as creative problem solvers. Seeing folks with “Senior” in their title now when they were fresh out of UX boot camp when we first started working together is what I live for. Striving to create a healthy team that communicates well is at the core of my management style.Working in the advertising industry has exposed me to many brands and types of digital projects. Pivoting between brand websites, mobile apps, e-comm, and product design has made me a nimble designer. It has also helped me understand that not every project or client works similarly, and that strong design leadership and communication are key to project success.I truly love the entire process of building digital experiences. From discovery and strategy to design and development, each step is an opportunity to infuse the brand into the final product and find a unique, ownable solution. A strong foundation of user needs, personas, and content strategy is vital to building a project that aligns with the brand message.Outside of digital design, I appreciate the analog joys of life: vinyl records, 35mm film photography and working on old cars. As a native Austinite, I love live music and can’t wait to join your company’s #music channel.
