He coordinates with 15 federal agencies and all US states and territories to ensure rapid response to any event to support the lead federal agency.

Allocates and manages staff workload and priorities. Provides oversight and fiscal discipline for an annual budget of over 7 billion dollars. Provides direct oversight of staff support to three named operations (Inherent Resolve, Freedom's Sentinel, and Spartan Shield), Task Force Sinai and Army support to other services.

Plans, coordinates, synchronizes, integrates and executes enduring operations & exercises in support of Theater Army responsibilities, and directs operations to ensure the effective employment of available forces to accomplish core, assigned and contingency missions in the USCENTCOM AOR. The DCG- O directs and focuses the daily operations of the 35th DIV staff across doctrine, training, operations, maneuver and service/infrastructure support and resourcing thereof. Assists the Division commander in command and control of the Division. Supervises the internal command staff while monitoring the internal compliance of the command priorities and policies. Coordinates, directs, and nest operations with the tactical employment of all subordinate land/air forces within the Division Domain with direct coordination of adjacent units and entities. The DCG-O advises the CG in functional areas, including: safety, force protection, force projection, administration, human capital (personnel), supply, maintenance, security assistance, operations, planning, training, communications, interoperability, joint exercises, force modernization, force structure, resource allocation, management controls, Equal Opportunity (EO), and Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP).

Commanding Officer of the Armored Brigade Combat Team. Responsible for command and control of a 3756 Soldier heavy combat brigade. Responsible for leading, directing, mentoring and caring for Soldiers in a combat environment. Responsible for the effective utilization of resources available for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing unified land operations against terrorist and/or threats in the Brigade's area of operations. Inherent responsibilities include, personnel management, strength management, family and employer support and community support.

Exercise command and control over the unit as a Deputy Commander. Responsible for assisting the Commander with command and control of the BCT. Responsible for assisting the Commander with the development, execution, and resourcing of all campaign plans and operations. Responsible for assisting the Commander in implementing security measures in order to mitigate risks and protect the force. Responsible for managing the proper usage, allocations, and distributions of all assigned resources. Responsible for coordinating all activities through the Commander and coordinating with the staff on issues and training to ensure the 155th BCT are prepared to accomplish its mission, both peacetime and wartime.

G7 at First Army: Responsible for the Training readiness oversight and mobilization training of all U.S. Army Reserves and National Guard Soldiers and joint personnel in the United States to include Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Interfaces routinely with FORSCOM, USARC, NGB, and Combat Training Centers to ensure units are fully trained and meet all Department of the Army and Theater specific training requirements. Coordinates staff actions with two subordinate Divisions and sixteen training Brigades to manage all aspects of pre-deployment training of Reserve Component within ARFORGEN for deployment in support of contingent operations. Serves as the staff lead for designated exercises. Supervised 29 officers, 13 NCO’s, and 22 DOD civilians.
