At HIRED, my role was to increase public awareness of workforce-related issues, and HIRED's unique ability to help resolve these issues. To this end, I led the organization's fundraising, marketing and communications activities. This included engaging a wide range of individual contributors, volunteers, businesses, foundations and public agencies in HIRED's day-to-day, and long-range, efforts.

My responsibilities included grant writing, fundraising, communications and management with the goal of securing funding to support HIRED's award-winning workforce development programs in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.

As a one-person development and communications department, I successfully led the organization's activities related to grant writing and fund raising, leading to increased revenue. I also created client-centered print & electronic communications.

Through positions of increasing responsibility, at JAUM I implemented a variety of creative marketing strategies to expand financial contributions and volunteer resources from companies in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

I was promoted through the ranks from retail salesperson to management team at store with $52 million in annual sales. Held management positions in merchandising, customer service and merchandise flow/logistics.
