As the first full-time developer at Blinker, I worked with all aspects of our business from writing the API, setting up and deploying to AWS servers, connecting to third party APIs and working with vendors like Experian and BlackBook, writing and helping to write requirements for new features, and building out those features by myself or as part of a team. As we grew as a company, specialists took over my infrastructure and product roles and I focused on Ruby on Rails API development. My biggest achievement was designing and building out a complete loan underwriting system using the ModelShop platform which takes Experian, vehicle, and applicant data and gives automated decisions and lending limits for purchase or refinance transactions.
