Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. is a publicly traded partnership whose primary business is the transportation, storage and distribution of refined petroleum products. Magellan’s asset portfolio includes over 80 petroleum products terminals, a 9,600-mile petroleum products pipeline system and a 1,100-mile ammonia pipeline system.Managed pipeline operations process reviews and consulting, as well as all IT and security-related process reviews for Audit Services. This included review of Sarbanes-Oxley affected IT processes and consulting to ensure full and ongoing compliance. Also participated in all major systems development projects as a Systems Development Life Cycle subject matter expert and systems controls consultant. Conducted enterprise-wide risk assessments (ERM) of all operations for presentation to the executives and the board of directors. Appointed by the president of the company to develop the Enterprise Continuity Plan (ECP) for all critical operations which included creating primary business recovery plans, overseeing development of Magellan’s business recovery center, and informing senior management of progress.

Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and IT operations consulting reviews. Primary focus of engagements was IT systems and systems management. Longest engagement was for Magellan Midstream Partners, a petroleum products pipeline, storage and terminal company.

At the time, Williams was a Fortune 250 company in a number of diverse industries including natural gas transportation, petroleum products refining, storage and transportation, energy marketing and trading, and telecommunications. Managed internal audit and process design activities for the energy companies. Responsibilities: assessed and consulted with Williams’ executive management on designing effective business processes to meet their objectives, both tactical and strategic for a substantial portion of the operations. Consulted in the creation of security management standards and policies and the instigation of the Williams Security Office. Frequent speaker at management meetings and was a guest speaker at the National Telecommunication and Information Administration’s (NTIA) national security summit in Tulsa. Also participated on the President’s Critical Infrastructure Protection initiative, now the Office of Homeland Security, in New York and Chicago.
