CurrentSmiths Detection is a global leader in threat detection, protection, and screening technologies for the military, transportation, homeland security, and emergency responder markets. Our products apply multiple technologies to quickly identify a range of threats including chemical agents, toxic industrial chemicals, explosives, narcotics, weapons, and illegal items. Manage a portfolio of engineering development and production programs. These programs currently include sensors programs in the US and UK; these sensors detect and identify the presence of toxic industrial chemicals, chemical warfare agents, explosives, and pharmaceutical based agents. Previous assigned programs included system/platform and subsystem integration programs across Smiths Detection's urban security and defense markets. Accountable for delivery of assigned programs, including Cost/Gross Margin, Schedule, Technical compliance, risk management, and stakeholder management. Significant contributor to development, implementation, and institutionalization of a standard Program Management process framework. As part of an Integrated Account Team, responsible to recommend and approve pursuits and bids. Presented program status to general officers and members of the US Congress.Functional manager for 8 program manager direct reports. Hosted monthly program reviews for assigned programs, with all functional management in attendance. Support development and implementation of a standard Program Management framework for the global Smiths Detection business. Coordinated annual and monthly revenue forecast for assigned programs. Coordinated negotiation with a major vehicle integration program's subcontractor to license their technology and coordinated negotiation with that program's major supplier. Maintained staff planning/forecasting for programs team. Member of strategy team responsible for recommending Smiths Detection's level of involvement in the System Integration market area.
