Vice President, Northern Light Medical Group (Retired July 1, 2021)
On July 1, 2021 semi- retired to remotely support the NLH employed provider medical group as a VP for Special Projects after working in a triad relationship with 2 physician medical group co- presidents. In 2020 I transferred all my previous non medical group related responsibilities to other members of the NLH leadership team to assume full time responsibilities for the medical group. For the prior 5 years , in addition to standing up the newly established NLH ( formerly EMHS) medical group, I was responsible for the effective operation of system clinical services integration spanning Northern Light Health ( NLH) originally as part of the CMO office structure and then under the Chief Operating Officer endeavoring to foster partnership, collaboration and efficiency . Position initially Included serving as President of 6 Nursing Home Joint venture ( Oct. '15 - Jan. '17); serve as interim VP/CAO of Mercy Hospital (Portland) physician practices during their financial turnaround ( Jan'16 - Nov '16) and supported the reorganization of the Mercy Medical Group; administrative oversight of state /region wide several profit and non profit businesses including NL Medical Transport ( formerly Capital Ambulance) , NL Laboratory ( formerly Affiliated Laboratory) ., NL Pharmacy ( formerly Miller Drug), WorkHealth LLC and Workforce Performance Solutions . Served as administrative dyad to the Co-Presidents of NLH Medical Group ( approx. 1,200 providers established Jan '17); build necessary medical group infrastructure such as system provider recruitment, credentialling / insurance enrollment, medical group practice operations & medical group HR Director. Successfully led 10 member hospital Bylaw harmonization initiative and creation of System Credentials policy.
