People often ask me why did you choose Chiropractic as a profession? The real answer is IT chose me! I was a college basketball player who got injured in a game and the result of this injury was a ruptured Lumbar disc. I was unable to walk without assistance, the pain was excruciating down my leg, I couldn't sit, stand for any length of time. In fact the only comfortable position was lying on my stomach. I received medical treatment to include hard drugs such as steroids, narcotics, pain management injections, and even Low back surgery. NOTHING WORKED!! In fact, my pain was worse!!.Luckily, a friend of mine was seeing a Chiropractor for his back. I tagged along for the visit and spoke with the Doctor. It was a day that changed my life forever!! I treated with this doctor aggressively for 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks of treatment, I was walking without assistance. After 8 weeks, I was out of Pain. After 12 weeks, I was back to playing the sport that I loved.It changed my life so much that after graduation(business degree), I decided to go back to school for my Science pre-requisites, then Chiropractic School. I'm happy to say that I have been a Chiropractor for the past almost 3 decades. My patients often say to me, you're very understanding of my condition. The fact of the matter is, I was once and will always be a patient and under Chiropractic care.
