I was employed with a utility company for over 17 years, all of which were with the Field Maintenance Services (FMS) department, a specialized group within the company dedicated to performing quick and efficient outage work throughout the state. My subsequent employment with a large robotics firm allowed me to gain experience of production processes from a more automated perspective. I was involved with various applications of robotic solutions, constantly working to maximize efficiency in both existing and newly developed processes. I was eventually assigned to a strategic partnership endeavor with the General Motors Corporation (GM), working with them on a range of continuous improvement solutions. This eventually led my employment with GM, my current employer.My ensuing work within the automotive field has allowed me to gain extensive knowledge about maximizing the efficiency of production processes. While maximizing the efficiency of a process, I’ve been involved with increasing the quality of a product while simultaneously decreasing costs. This entails cultivating an atmosphere conducive to a philosophy, which promotes close teamwork and effective communication. My overall experience with power generation, automation, general production processes as well as working with people within all facets of industry gives me a unique perspective from which to operate. Working with alternative fuel sources, a field I’ve been passionate about for most of my adult life would allow me an opportunity to fulfill a personnel dream and a goal I would like to achieve at some point.Specialties: Manufacturing engineering and general project management, robotics systems, robotics welding, new assembly line production ramp up, power plant/utility systems (turbines, generators, boilers, high pressure vessel and piping system, etc.). Strong emphasis on team concept, up front design work, continuous improvement and a lessons learned input/feedback loop.
