Spod Material Coordinator
CurrentMonitors the movement of containers, flat racks, roll-on/roll-off cargo and coordinates with various parties to ensure cargo loads the intended vessel.• Prepare and submit forecasts, manifests, load lists and other close out documents for intended vessel calls.• Monitor the movement of containers, both inland and local, to ensure cargo arrives for intended vessel.• Coordinate with various transportation providers and internal parties to ensure proper movement of cargo.• Coordinate with various marine terminal operators and partner steamship lines to load cargo to vessel.• Proactive resolution of escalated and troubleshooting issues.• Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, and refer clients to proper channels when necessary.• Ability to retain and apply knowledge of procedures and practices to daily functions.• Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing industry.• Ensures safe work practices and procedures and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.• Working closely with various US government agencies and foreign countries to ensure all cargo and documentation is accurate and transport ready.• Ensure ship dates and workflow status are accurately represented within the demand management systems.• Track cargo quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.• Identify material shortages for supply chain and planning.• Ensures daily shipments are invoiced accurately.• Provides timely feedback to management regarding discrepancies or customer concerns.
