Act as voice operations team’s technical lead in new system designs and troubleshooting of high-visibility issues. Provide communication systems engineering and analysis to upper management to provide technology options in order to meet the needs to the existing business climate.Installed, configured, and implemented the Avaya SIP Enablement Server solution for faxing and IVR functions internal to the company.Troubleshoot H.323 and SIP issues with the network teams by utilizing span ports, taps, data aggregators, and packet capture tools such as WireShark. Upgrade G3r with EPNs to S8720 architecture. Work with executive-level management on confidential projects to increase telephony security and resource utilization insight. Maintain a growing enterprise system consisting of S8720 processors and branch LSPs. Maintain and manage all peripheral systems to the voice infrastructure, including firmware & settings server for IP Telephones, VeraSMART call accounting, SecureLogix ETM appliances and software, and Avaya Integrated Management. Create training documents for common tasks as well as programming/installation of new branch gateways. Maintain the telephony infrastructure of an enterprise data center, consisting of three Definity G3s, large RightFax environment lines, several IVRs, line-side T1s, analog lines, digital lines, IP trunking, and IP Softphones. Use Microsoft Visio to create graphical depictions of routing vectors, systems configurations, and voice network topology. Audit and program translations for redundancy between several Avaya G3 systems in a 24x7 data center. Research, evaluate, and recommend peripheral systems for security, recording, and reporting. Assist all Voice Operations team members with IP troubleshooting for peripheral devices and IP softphone setups. Write capital expenditure requests for equipment, software, licensing or services to maintain our ability to quickly respond to business needs.
