My purpose and passion is to help others become the best version of themselves as leaders, utilizing personalized situational coaching as the framework to introduce new mindset, skillset, and toolset to help each individual grow. With a strong background in sales, marketing and operations leadership roles, I am identified as a skilled talent multiplier able to recruit, train, develop, retain, and inspire top talent by establishing an environment where teamwork, trust, humility, and transparency are the core principles that build sustainable growth. As an accomplished leader, I have a deep expertise in assembling and leading talented teams to realize goals for patients, customers, and companies in complex matrixed and ambiguous environments. I started my company, J Hoover Consulting, LLC, to work with leaders at all levels of an organization to implement a human capital strategy in leadership capabilities. Using a principle-based framework called the Leadership Odyssey™, I work one-on-one with leaders to introduce new skills for them to try in real settings that they face. Everything I introduce is principle-based. There are no models to memorize. The real advantage of the Leadership Odyssey™ is the creation of a safe space to think through solutions to challenges or opportunities without the fear of a bad impression that you inadvertently leave by risking that same conversation with another employee, your manager, or HR. I am a personalized situational coach, meaning I work with you on principles of leadership that can help you become the best version of yourself as a leader by creating an environment for you to pause, reflect, plan, brainstorm, and act on challenges and opportunities that you are facing.
