I am the Chief Strategy & External Affairs Officer of the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System. My primary duties involve leading multiple teams responsible for the system’s communication, outreach, education, government relations, branding, and employer services. I also assist the Executive Director in the day-to-day management of the system and the development and implementation of long-term organizational strategy.I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations emphasizing speech communication. In addition to my formal education, I earned a Master's Certificate in Strategic Organizational Leadership & Management from Michigan State University in 2015, the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation from the Wharton School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania in 2016, and the Certified Municipal Official designation from the Missouri Governance Institute in 2020. I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus and serve as past president of the Missouri Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems.My favorite thing to do in my free time is watch my daughters compete in sports. But you can also find me chasing deer and turkeys, pursuing fitness, reading, and rooting on the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. My wife and I are also active in our Catholic parish and school.
