After I spent several years in the recruitment advertising and the promotions fields as a Senior Copywriter and Creative Department Manager, I became a Stay-At-Home Dad (SAHD). This rewarding position has provided me with many hats: cruise director, chauffeur, party planner, event management, menu creator, mental health stabilizer, coach, etc.During my many years as a SAHD, I had the privilege of being an assistant coach for girls lacrosse (which also includes learning that sport!), creating and leading a SAHD group (which has counted over 150 wonderful dads from all over the north/northwest Chicago suburbs as part of it at one time or another), becoming a Girl Scout Troop Leader for two troops, stepping up as a Girl Scout Community Manager, providing countless friends with free marketing/advertising advice, and so much more! These past seventeen years have been a real blessing for me. While my professional standing in marketing had ended, I was able to employ my skills in a number of other ways: grass-roots marketing to get my SAHD group up and running; helping friends get their own businesses off the ground be it an art studio or cartooning business, or medical coding agency, or other business. I utilized my marketing communications know-how to raise the number of Girl Scout volunteers exponentially during my tenure as well as recruit a record-number of girls from my area. With the kids reaching high school and beyond, my time has become more open. Therefore, I'm looking to dip my toe back into the marketing/advertising pool. I really enjoyed my time as a copywriter and would enjoy swimming in that lane again. I wouldn't mind diving a little deeper and using my branding and creative skills, too. It's been a great ride so far. I cannot wait for the next adventure.
