I am responsible for managing and producing a wide variety of publications and materials for clients within Transport Canada—maintaining Transport Canada’s specific visual identity and graphic standards as well as the Government of Canada’s Federal Identity Program.• Design and layout of publications and other materials in both official languages.• Layout of a publication in the Inuktitut language.• Production of PDF files for electronic publishing and print.• Print management (prepping and sending files to printer; reviewing proofs; quality checks).• Project management and quality assurance.

I was responsible for designing and producing layouts for a wide range of Conference Board material, both on the web and in print, following corporate branding standards. Work included research publications, marketing materials, HTML e-mails, web pages, newsletters, course catalogues, advertisements, stationery, etc.• Design of templates for print and web.• Layout of templated reports, brochures, and web pages.• Production of charts and tables.• Design of exhibits, diagrams, and icons.• Photo-editing and retouching using Photoshop.• Revision and verification of editors’ mark-ups to post-layout publications.• Production of PDF files for electronic publishing and print.• Print management (prepping and sending files to printer; reviewing proofs; quality check of printed copies).

After transferring departments – from Finance Canada to the Treasury Board – I continue to work mostly with the Finance Canada website (TBS and Finance are interrelated). However, my role has become more focused on the preparation and publishing of content (publications, news releases, photos, etc.) to the website.

For this four month contract, I monitored, improved, and updated the performance of the Department of Finance’s website, while adhering to the new CLF 2.0 standards. Some of my responsibilities included: • Preparing and publishing multiple documents for the web (HTML, ASP, CSS, PDF) with both Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft FrontPage.• Ensuring all documents posted to the Finance website displayed properly in all web browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, etc.)• Ensuring the site adhered to governmental guidelines and standards (CLF 2.0)

Control the entire aesthetic direction of the organization. From the web to all print material and mutlimedia projects, I have the responsibility to lead the direction in how Coaches of Canada is seen... a lot of responsibility, but a lot of fun.
