As Project Engineer, I ensured delivery of quality, profitable, timely, and safe projects for large-scale United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) MILCON projects. I establishd solid and collaborative client relationships while gaining a clear understanding of the client’s needs and requirements by serving as a liaison between the contractor and the Owners representative. I managed the quality assurance plan, oversaw the contractors quality control program, schedule, submittal process, testing, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout. I coordinated with all stakeholders, performed design/constructability and feasibility reviews, contributed to answering RFI's, prepared cost estimates to check contractor proposal accuracy, managed dispute resolutions, held progress meetings, managed the warranty process and verified pay requests. I maintained a proficiency with the EM 385, TIA/EIA, I3A, the Army's Centers of Standardization, and RMS, conducted random sampling to ensure contractor's compliance of daily reports, as-built documents, submittal reviews, field test logs, and project status logs. I monitored the contractor's thoroughness, timeliness, and quality of their construction and/or corrections, evaluated the contractor's progress, quality control, and safety operations for effectiveness, observed and investigated construction at all stages to identify problems and took timely action to correct before anything became a problem. I perform quality assurance inspections of construction operations for compliance with plans and specifications, interpreted plans and specifications and worked with the contractor to resolve misunderstandings. I also attended preconstruction, quality control and progress meetings along with any conferences. I prepared and distributed meeting minutes, reviewed and commented on progress schedules, made applicable comments on the daily reports, and notified the Contractor PM and QC of noncompliant work.

As the QC, I was responsible for the site and building work and for providing guidance and instruction to construction staff to ensure that all work met the contract documents and code requirements. I ensured that the appropriate processes and proper equipment, tools, materials, tests, inspections, clean‑up, and quality standards were employed at all times. I held off-site designers, on-site construction supervisors and workers responsible for performing their work according to the appropriate technical specifications. I enlisted the cooperation of all project personnel to be constantly vigilant for faulty design, materials, and workmanship to ensure that high standards of quality workmanship were maintained at all times and required subcontractors to take ownership of their own work.
