SummaryThe Sr Data Protection Operations Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for prevention of data leaks through real time monitoring, detection and analysis of events in a multi-platform environment, including using troubleshooting tools to analyze, correlate and respond to cyber threats, writing scripts to aid in quick analysis and response, and responding to security events . The Cybersecurity Engineer is involved in the full security life cycle in a multi-platform environment. This role will assist in maintaining an efficient and secure enterprise infrastructure that offers secure and uninterrupted service for our customers. The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining risk appropriate solutions in response to business requirements in all compute and storage platforms in a highly complex environment. This position will support and use a portfolio of hardware and software solutions that provide cyber defenses across the entire spectrum of the cyber attack chain from data and identity to enabling disaster recovery. This role is central to the efficient and effective use of platform security solutions; including mobile, cloud, and BECU-hosted environments with the overall goal of enhancing and maturing BECU’s cybersecurity maturity.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Proactively monitor and diagnosis server hardware and windows operating system problems.• Coordinate installation of new hardware/software: install, test and monitor the operation of computer hardware and software, configure hardware and software to meet departments’ needs.• Coordinate the installation of virtual instances via cloud or other provider “click and build” type of portals: install, test and monitor the operation of virtual server and software instances, configure the virtual instances to meet departments’ needs.• Ensure the reliability and consistency of each server through server configuration and maintenance, including the application of security patches and virus pattern updates. • Manage and complete the daily processing responsibilities to ensure the quality, accuracy and integrity of information and systems.• Oversee the change management process and guidelines.
