CurrentI provide support and oversight to the nine official Navy Museums.They serve as a focal point of Navy-owned and operated history and heritage exhibits.Some of the tasks I perform include: Provide and project persistent Navy presence regionally. Achieve and sustain a network of American Alliance of Museums accredited Navy museums. Supervise and provide guidance to the Navy Museum System in the execution of current NHHC policy and priorities as established by the Director, NHHC and act as liaison between museums and other NHHC Divisions.Direct, acquire, consolidate, update, and coordinate data for the Navy Museum system in preparation for multiple requests for information from the American Public, Navy Leadership and National Leadership. Establish the program objectives memorandum (POM) process for the consolidated submission of the Navy Museum System in the Navy budget process. Provide central tasking and tracking for coordination and synchronization of responses to actions assigned to the Navy Museum System.Provide top level supervisory support for all museum employees.Establish requirements for civilian positions within the Navy Museum System and ensure the proper selection and detailing of personnel to and within the system. Provide financial oversight to include emergent requirements, contractor support, travel and training.Coordinate with Museum Directors to insure host-tenant agreements and base operating support are adequate to meet mission and conduct annual Museum Director’s Meeting.Coordinate gift acceptance by museumsfor artifact donation and tracking of gifts of cash and services from non-government organizations including the museum’s supporting foundations.In coordination with the Communication and Outreach Division, produces monthly report of museum activities and data sets for use by Director, NHHC and annual Command Operations Report for Senior Navy Leadership.
