Worked with different types of grinding machines, such as: Bryant internal grinders, surface grinders, and Blanchard rotary table grinders. Interpreted blue prints in Imperial and metric. Commonly delt with tolerances of +/- 0.00025. Maintained surface finishes of #4 max microinches.

Supported engineering department in the development of high-pressure injector system. Interpreted blue prints in imperial and metric. Delt with close tolerance work of +/- 2um. Set-up and operated CNC and manual machines such as: Theilenhaus super finisher, CNC laser engraver, toolroom lathes, vertical mills, surface grinders, o.d. grinders, Attended set-up reduction training. Aided in the design and fabrication of set up reduction of all CNC pilot centers.

Repaired, sharpened and fabricated dies i.e. progressive, stamping, blanking, and form dies. Heat-treated tool steels. Fabricated and designed welding fixtures. Supported research and development of new product designs. Implemented “just in time” principles for set-up reduction of dies. Commonly used horizontal and vertical milling machines, surface grinders, tool room lathes, drill press, and other machine tools.

Interpreted blue prints. Layout, repair, design and modify metallic and non-metallic parts for aircraft, wheeled vehicles, and tanks. Utilized such machines as: Engine lathes, utility grinders, surface grinders, power cut-off saws, armature undercutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill press, versa-mill, horizontal and vertical mills.Performed a wide variety of job-shop type work. Repaired and installed metal body components, radiators, and fuel tanks. Repaired hulls and accessories of Army watercraft and amphibians. Welded ferrous and non-ferrous metals using oxyacetylene, electric arc, and inert gas.
