As a Project Director with the Department of State's Bureau of Overseas Building Operations, I have had the opportunity to work in and travel to over 40 countries and manage construction contracts in Africa, Central Asia, Central America, and Europe. I have experience working in some of the most demanding environments a construction manager can encounter including Erbil, Iraq and Peshawar, Pakistan. Managing contracts from $80 million to $300 million overseas has provided me challenging and rewarding experiences both professionally and personally, building on and honing the skills I acquired as a project manager in the private sector and gaining a knowledge of and respect for the people and cultures of the countries in which I have worked.
