I am interested in making a change in my life to become more involved in contributing to solutions to society's energy problems. Although coal and gas are not scarce, the climactic consequences of the status quo are frightening to contemplate. I have a wide background in both life experiences and education.I have been teaching college level Chemistry for 23 years, with all of the skills and knowledge necessary to perform this task. But my experience extends well beyond my formal education.I built a 14.8 m steel vessel from stock steel and parts, and have taken it from Tacoma Washington to tour all the major rivers of Europe and the Baltic. It is currently resting in Austria on the Danube.I bought and extensively re-modeled four houses, working alone mostly, and keep them as rentals.I totally re-built my 1966 Ford E100 pick-up.All of the above illustrates an ability to plan and execute long-term goals involving the use of tools.
