Keeping people comfortable in their surroundings is the goal of the HVAC systems I design for a wide range of clients from commercial and institutional organizations to light industrial firms. Projects have ranged from small office buildings, primary and secondary education facilities, manufacturing plants and hospitals/medical office buildings. Each client has very specific, individual needs which are quite unique to their operation – and I enjoy designing the best solution for each one. Most recently my engineering work utilizes proven high efficiency systems including geothermal and heat recovery systems which are my two specialties. I designed a geothermal system for use in a project under the direction of the Ohio School Facility Commission (now Ohio Facility Construction Commission) before this efficient, cost-effective HVAC system was recognized by the commission. This forward-thinking approach was used on numerous subsequent schools. My experience includes designing the HVAC systems for two new hospitals, large additions to hospitals and several manufacturing plants with offices. I am a Partner with JDRM Engineering, Inc., a consulting engineering firm providing professional mechanical, electrical, and technology engineering services to architectural firms, contractors, institutions, universities, hospitals, and industrial facilities. Special in-house services include audio/visual, arc flash hazard analysis, security, distance learning, communications, networking design, and geothermal HVAC design.
