A key responsibility of this position was to work closely with the building design teams to create the most energy-efficient and low-GHG buildings possible. One such project involved designing a net-zero building in an extremely cold climate. The role involved researching fine technical details of the Building Code and Energy Codes requirements across Canada. Preparing LEED submissions and LEED audit responses, and building permit submissions were another part of the position. Finally, the role involved preparing detailed reports about precise details of a building's simulated operation, including operating cost and particular system operational parameters.

This positions’ main focus was the simulation and analyze of building energy consumption and green-house gas emissions for compliance with Canadian Building Code, Toronto Green Standard, and LEED submission. The position also included the handling of LEED and government incentive project administration. This position frequently involved the communication and co-ordination with several project teams simultaneously.
