I am an engineer supporting a wide variety of customer projects involving structural, thermodynamic and fluid mechanical analysis. Most of my time is spent applying numerical techniques to our customer's engineering problems in the fields of Civil and Military Aviation, Space Systems, and Electronics.Project experience:• Propellant management using a vane type PMD and microgravity slosh dynamics for a space based telescope• Structural optimization of the thrust structure for a reusable launch vehicle• High G and microgravity slosh prediction for a reusable launch vehicle under multiple phases of flight• Stress analysis for a roller coaster track switch with complex 3d motion requiring compliance with EN structural steel codes• Solar heating and phase change heat storage for a solar powered water heater for use at military facilities• On-orbit thermal analysis for nano satellite structures and electronics, including orbital evaluating risks of orbital maneuvers and selecting insulating materials for atomic oxygen environments in LEO• Multi-physics analysis of an optical laser assembly to determine pointing accuracy with mechanical and thermal loading

In the Specialty Analysis, Aerodynamics group, I perform aerodynamic analysis using CFD, analytic methods and testing. My work focuses on external sub sonic and trans sonic flow with some combined internal and external flow problems.• Lead aerodynamics engineer for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) engine nacelle, taking initiative to identify problems and resolve them with both internal and external customers• Give presentations during design reviews to fellow team members, internal clients, external clients and upper management, gaining excellent oral communication experience• Subject matter expert for cascade type turbofan thrust reverser sizing• Performed thrust reverser sizing analysis for the MRJ and Bombardier C-series using analytic methods coupled with empirical correlation with test data• Coordinated 3 static isolated scale model aerodynamic compliance tests, both internally and in cooperation with ASE Fluidyne, investigating data trends and explaining previously misunderstood phenomena • Coordinated the Trent XWB engine test with Rolls Royce and Airbus, showing the ability to deal with multiple parties under stressful circumstances to evaluate risks, benefits, and make difficult decisions• During test campaigns, demonstrated adaptability and developed alternative solutions to hardware problems, determining the potential consequences and best courses of action• Support thermodynamics engineers on a variety of programs with CFD modeling for thermal analysis including project planning, organization and prioritization• Performed rotating reference frame CFD analysis for the Joint Maritime Assault Connector Forward Propulsor Assembly thrust characteristics test
